CICG Esplanade

The second edition of the Geneva Health Forum Open Village will take place from May 3 to 5.

Activities should be organized in a big tent on the CICG esplanade, as well as online.

Access should be free of cost.

Purpose

Libre and open-source innovation empowers communities, increases trustworthiness, and cuts costs by up to 100 times.

Acknowledging health commons as the new standard of care, we

  • federate communities that co-create freely reproducible health knowledge and technologies
  • empower people through critical thinking and political action in order to identify and tackle socio-economic barriers to health
  • enhance contributions to and governance of health commons by coordinating efforts and sharing critical successes and challenges

Keywords: solidarity-driven care, health commons, health democracy, citizen-led decision-making,

Activities

We will invite interested people to propose activities. A form will be opened early January 2022.

Rules of play

All proposal have to

  • align with the three objectives described above
  • be not-for-profit and put the quality of cooperation first
  • be carried by at least three individuals from diverse backgrounds who are directly affected by the topic
  • dedicate at least two thirds of the activity's time to participants' contributions
  • be documented in the wiki so that the whole community can benefit from the activity
