What is the law? A book made by experts, which we have to comply to? Or rather a way to collectively make decisions that affect us?

Proposal

Pia Manciani, a democracy activist, wrote "We are twenty-first century citizens trying our best to interact with institutions from the nineteenth century built on technology from the fifteenth century."[1]

But is it sufficient to build new technology, without changing the way we cooperate?[2]

Can we really ensure justice without critically reflecting on the narratives we consider "natural"?[3]

How could we lever technology to increate our individual and collective capacities to reach consensus rapidly?[4]

What can we learn from ancient philosophers,[5] from the governance of the commons,[6] from a supreme court decision in Italy,[7] from an election to the European Parliament[8], from theater as a way to transform democracy[9]?

What if we had the courage to envison a new social contract?

A project proposed by Fabio Balli following participatory activities on healing commons, health democracy, and healing and law-making.
